{birthday time again..shut the front door, Z is 4}

My Z girl turned 4 yesterday....sort of can't believe it. I was looking through old videos of her just a couple of years ago, toddling around with her little pigtails bouncing--looking so much like Nora right now--kinda crazy. Makes my heart sick! this growing up business is for the birds i tell ya! It always amazes me that they literally grow right before your eyes, and so quickly---makes me want to hold on tight, and not miss a moment......

I still remember the day that i met little Z---we were so looking forward to having a little girl, and caleb was so excited. We picked the name Zoee because we both loved it, but also because caleb was a big fan of sesame street at the time and said-Zoee {the monster}- so cute. She was born with heaps of black hair, and the cutest little face and mouth. She continued to live up to her spunky name by starting to walk at 10 months old, and skipping and jumping high in the air whenever possible. She was so tiny--but determined......oh is that girl determined. She is the sweetest little girl, with a heart for animals, and all things little. She wrestles caleb, and lugs around Nora --wanting to feed her a bottle and getting her toys. She is so sporty, and runs so fast with those little legs. She is a girl that goes after what she wants, and does not back down easily...whew! My favorite moments with her are those where we are one on one....she will talk and talk--tell me stories, and loves to hear about when she was a baby. She is a princess at heart, and adores dress up--especially sporting the shoes...{I love to stand outside her room and listen to the pretend tea parties.} She also loves her PJ's---the minute the girl is in the house, she heads straight for the Pj's--princess ones of course. Recently we were headed out to pick up caleb from school and i told her to hurry and get dressed, and she comes to the garage with pink tights on, her straw sun hat, a dress, and sparkly shoes, she puts one hand on her hip and says--how do i look? ha:) Her most famous line is when we ask her to do things or she is having a hard time at something she will say--"but i am dis a little girl..." I want her to stay little forever.....Zoee my girl--we love you forever and always~ happy birthday!

Zoee helped me bake her cake and put the finishing touches on--she is a great lil helper. We decided since we are going into the holiday and seeing family-- that we would just have a little cake and some dinner with fam and keep the b-day low key~

We got chick-fil-a--{her fav}, had some cake, and opened presents - the girls {her and her sister cousin mylee} played the night away.

i don't know about the rest of you, but i am so looking forward to some family/break time.....just to relax and be unplugged!.....and a little pie never hurts.....
