{that happened}

{in the past few days}

*realized that when i went and picked up some new powder....in a mad rush mind you-- i must have grabbed the wrong shade, and a shade darker at that.... We were on the way to church and i looked in the mirror in the car, and had to do a double take--what the? i had a little jaw line action going on..double yipes...and a lil ghetto. How did i not know this until then?it had been a few days for goodness sake......get a mirror lady!.. i blame it on the burnt out lightbulb in our bathroom.
*went to the Mates of State concert with some fun gal pals (sorry if you were embarrassed to be seen with me and my makeup malfunction--pretty sure i was sporting it!} anyways--Mates of State- great lil hubby/wifey business--with a indie vibe. Give them a listen. There were some interesting folks at the concert-{the best place to people watch--concerts and lagoon}. There was one gal in particular that was standing right in front of us--getting her groove on. She was grinding, and moving it like some stripper business. I was thinking we needed to give this girl and her man some private time. I laughed so hard, i was crying---couldn't help it--luckily her boyfriend didn't beat me up.
*i finished crossed--it was all and all pretty good--i was getting in to it by the end, and then it left me with a cliffhanger..boo!

*around this time every year there comes a package of gourmet delicious toffee and chocolates--yes, they are for the people that lived in this house 5 years ago, (which we have no idea how to contact).....so of course we can't let the delicious morsels go to waste....They came yesterday...mmmmm....{thanks to whoever you are...and keep em coming~} along with my long awaited canvas's~ it was a good mail day.
*i didn't get ready today--it was one of those days- but i was able to steal away for a run while the sun was out--the vitamin D did boost my spirits~

*Nora is walking like a pro--i love when they start to walk all wobbly and stiff legged. She is doing really well, and walking most of the time-- When she does fall she pops right back up and goes on her merry lil way-cute nugget.

Speaking of the gal--She is 1..... cannot believe it. She turned 1 on Nov 4th, and we had her a lil birthday party the day before Halloween. We had our fam over for dinner-- and some desserts. I didn't want to get to crazy since she doesn't give a flying flip. I just used a lot of stuff i all ready had; and limited the treats to just a few. I ended up making individual fruit pizzas, lemon whoopie pies, eclairs (i just added the raspberries to these babies). Then just made a simple lil cake for Nora to dive into. The day of her party she was a little sick, and then when everyone came over, she had her first bout of the dreaded ~stranger danger~ except she knew all these peeps. She wouldn't go to anyone but me at first-- So here i am trying to get the dinner all together and she was not having any of that. She wasn't even really interested in her gifts--party pooper! She did warm up by the end and was giving some love.

wish i had gotten more picts of everyone that was there--but having baby girl attached at the hip made things a lil difficult. Thanks for all the presents and for all the love---Nora told me she was sorry she was not her chipper self that day~

how this year has flown......looking back always makes me a little weepy~

and walking~noooo!! we love you to the stars and beyond sweet nora~and we couldn't imagine our family without you in it~
