{preschool, dancing queen. and me & mine + a canoe}

well hello--so i thought with school starting and all that jazz, that we would start to get more into a routine---- and life would start to slow down....wrong-o. I have felt a little crazy these past two weeks. I can't quite pinpoint the exact cause, but it seems as if everything has piled up...the laundry, dishes, photo sessions, and first grade homework....i am just asking for a few more hours in the day...it would be nice wouldn't it? Anyways, still a little baffled september is here....i will tell you that i am a little bummed that summer is gone, but have really been loving these days in the 80's. Ideal for the park and outdoor festivities. It is also my absolute favorite running season as well--especially when the leaves start to fall on the trails.
This week of sept was full of firsts for miss Zoee.......

Z started up preschool. She was jazzed to meet up with some pals, and barely gave me a nod on the way out the door--fearless i tell ya.

Zoee also had her first dance class with her cousin mylee. She has been anxiously awaiting this day for a while. My sis and i searched to find a cute class that just focused on the little girls having fun and nothing to serious or schmancy. All i can say that i could have been the cutest thing i have seen. The teacher was a cute gal, and really good with the girlies. They did all these fun little dances, some twirling, and tumbling. They had perm-grins to say the least.

miss Z had to run home from dance and practice her new moves in her posh studio (aka-garage--kinda similar..) she twirled and pointed her toes--she was all business...and of course couldn't wait to tell one and all about the fun of dance..especially her bff..... dad.

{In other news} We inherited a canoe..... and the first thing i thought was that i wanted to get our family pictures in it. So i called up the oh so sweet and fabulous Veronica and told her about my idea, and what i was thinking of for our pictures. She did such a fantastic job, and was so patient with the kiddos. Let me tell you, they (ok--well mostly just zoee--surprised much?) were a bit wild~ You know how picture day always goes, Nora falls asleep on the way so she is not her normal cheery self, Z gets off to a spicy start when her shoes are a wee bit tight, and my hair goes capootz after helping to carry the thousand pound canoe.....-ha! but, you know-- it was all worth it~Thank you again veronica, for your time and talent, and for putting up with all of our crazy shenanigans, we really appreciate you. We are excited about these picts, and can't wait to see more~ you are a gem and a half.
happy weekend all~

Oh girl, it does take some adjusting to this crazy stage where the kiddos have schedules of their own, homework, and yet still have to squeeze in time to just be kids~ but you can do it!! Nothing better than seeing your precious little's experience and accomplish for themselves. Good stuff.

And your family pictures are amazing~ Veronica did a wonderful job, and you all look fabulous! Loves.
