{little of this, little of that}

last week caleb started 1st grade...he is big time now--eating school lunch, sitting at his own desk, and playing with his buddies at recess, he is loving life. Me on the other hand?? i am missing my lil buddy---school is long... and you know i was a little emotional walking out of the school that first day without my little caleb...not sure how first grade got here so fast....but we will embrace it.

we hit up the zoo, since we had failed to go all summer....and it was just as i remembered.....hot....and crowded! no, it was fun...i think the kids like to ride the train and the merry go round more than they like looking at the animals...hmmm..

~last weekend i did the hobble creek half marathon, i got up at the crack of dawn to drive down to the race--and that was a doozy! talk about drowsy-- but i was glad i did--the race is fantastic, and i haven't run it for a while. I had the Beatles in my ear, and the gorgeous canyon scenery. I got a new half marathon PR--which i was excited about--

I finished in 1:30 (6:54 pace); and got a lil necklace for placing in the top 100. It was fun to meet up with family and friends at the finish. Leash ran it, and it was her first--she did great~

Next up is the St george marathon in a few short weeks.......

we packed it up for a little evening up at pineview, caleb kept asking if we were in oregon...i wish! we found a perfect little shaded beach where the kiddos played in the water, built sand creations, and consumed some sand..(nora) not sure why we don't go up to this joint more often, it was a good time indeed~

Like Danielle--i had to spread the word about the Rachel Zoe project starting up again--you know i am excited--tune in next Tues on Bravo. So major~ i hear that this season is without brad? what! details please..
