Only minutes after they were done with the stitches she was totally fine. She was just playing with her dolls, and of course enjoying all the treats and stickers she got-- WHew! The doc did a great job, and said there would hopefully hardly be a scar. :) I will be villigant with the mederma and Vitamin E oil. We are just so grateful that the toy didn't actually hit her eye~
{by this point she had forgotten about all the drama of the ER}
Later that night we went to The weber state Fireworks--A yearly tradition since I can remember! Lots of great memories--and yummy treats--chex mix to be at the top of the list~ that stuff is so addicting! We went to Beus pond this year, and it was a lot better than fighting the massive crowds and teens workin it at Weber. It was fun to have the kids just play and hang out with fam and friends before the fireworks started.I loved snuggling with my babes watching the fireworks! nothing better.....how is it that the summer all ready more than half over??
UPDATE:This past Saturday we got Z's stitches out (and it was about as bad as getting them in!) but it looks really good! I think it will be barely visible in a few weeks:)

Poor Zoee!!! I'm glad she recovered quickly—she looks super adorable in her post-trauma pics!
Those poor nursery leaders were probably mortified. I know I would have been...Poor little girlie. What a day!
I love the Weber State Fireworks. They are just such a fun tradition. We had to miss this year cuz Natty bug was sick. That park is two houses away from my parents house. We love it! Much better spot than fighting the crowds.
P.S. Good to see ya at the park. I wish I could have stayed to chat! Let me know when ya'll meet next time! :)
Poor little thing! She is still a little cutie!
Oh poor Zoee! Good thing these kids are resilient and heal quickly. Hope mom recovers from the trauma just as well.
I've tagged you in my latest blog post ;)
What a brave little girl. I'm glad she's okay. I say it all the time and I will say it again, I love Zoee's style! the clothes and headbands look so put together but still function for her to have fun in. Maybe you can make a posting about where you get her stuff and where you find inspiration for her outfits?
Take Care,
Lisa
Poor Z! I hope she's doing ok now. How scary.
Why do you always make me want to cry! Lol! I am so happy that whole ordeal is over! I always think of my Evie and how hard that is when they are hurt, you just want to kiss it all away!!
Luvs!
Poor little Tay Tay.. I fear this won't be her last set of stitches- that little spunk.
oh my goodness! i would have been bawling more than she was! agreed--it is the WORST when your kids are hurt! And then to have them pinned down at the ER? OMG can't even stand it! i am glad everything looks good now!
Linds told me about what happened to Zoee, that is scary! That must have been one crazy toy to leave such a gash on her eye! She is so sweet, I love those little bubble shorts she has on. You guys are so fun, always taking the kids to do fun things!
SAD!!! Poor little Zoee! Anything on the face bleeds so bad that it is even more scary. At least like you said it didn't hit her eye and won't scar.
Can't believe the summer is half gone either! Doesn't seem possible. How is that February can last forever but July flies by.
Seriously, Coast had a similar situation happen to him at church.. 3 stitches too and also strapped to a bed! Stuff like that kills me, it so hard to watch! Church can be a scary place! Ha ha
Poor baby girl. I hate that for her (and you)! The whole thought of having to hold them down while they get stitches sounds awful. Glad she is feeling better! Her looks are changing so much, she is growing up!
oh my, this sounds awful! so sorry to hear about z's mishap--i'm sure the people in the nursery must feel AWFUL. wow. you're right--so glad it wasn't her eye, and i can't believe that taking them out was just as bad. at least kids have (relatively) short memories--maybe she'll forget as she gets older.
Poor Z...and you! I have yet to make an ER trip...keeping my fingers crossed for the next MANY years! LOVE Z's outfits...actually love how you dress both little ones...and yourself! You are such a creative and stylish lady!
Aww!! :-( Poor little thing!! So sad!! It is always a killer when your kiddos are hurt or sick. You just wish you could take away the pain from them. Glad Zoee is doing better now :-) I hope you have a fabulous day!! hugs!! Britt :-)
That is such a bummer! Oh the dangers of nursery. If by chance she does have a little scar-she'll just look sporty-no worries.
P.S. love baby #2's name. Very hip. If you're looking for a same-name celeb who's less crazy than Naomi Campbell, how about Naomi Watts? She's totally cute!
good call Libby!
