Christmas was really a fun this year with the kiddlets. Caleb and Zoee were really into santa, and the naughty list--{this really worked to my advantage at times} Although Z is still terrified of the man in red, and wouldn't even give him a head nod in passing at the mall.
Without fail i was running around crazy the few days before, and wrapping like a mad woman late christmas eve--how does the "done shopping by halloween" never work out for me?? maybe 2012 will be my year for that business:)
Anyhoo--Christmas eve always starts out with the traditional christmas eve run with the running group--it was a brisk one this year--15 degrees--brrrrrr! it did warm up, and we got hot cocoa and bagels after--always fun. On christmas eve night we always head over to my mom's house with the clan--and we eat my mom's bomb fettucinni alfredo--she really only makes it on Christmas eve, and that makes it even better i suppose. The kiddos get to open PJ's and gifts from grandma and grandpa, and then the siblings open our gifts from each other. I love the feel of christmas eve--being all together with my family--its really tops. I really am thankful at what a close family we are--i couldn't ask for better~
The kiddos got to make magic hot cocoa with aunt paige and watch some christmas flicks. Then all of the siblings and spouses headed out for our traditional Denny's run. This started a few years back--we go to Denny's and get hot cocoa--chat it up, and hope for a great waitress/waiter that is need and is working hard on christmas eve....then we all leave a good sum for them. We always try to sneak a peek after we leave and see if we can see their reaction. It has been fun over the years, and we seem to always get someone perfect to give to:)
Christmas day came pretty early...and the kiddos were all consumed in playing with the toys from santa. We headed to my parents for crepes and a big breakfast, and then attempted to get ready for church:) The rest of the day was spent eating.....playing games...watching flicks.....eating.....eating....and hanging in our PJ's--just how i like it.
The rest of the holiday was filled with some movies, date nights, nickel-cade and just chilling with my babes--it went by fast......
I was really lazy as far as picts go this year--my sis thankfully had her camera and i got some from her. Other than that a lot of them are from a phone or point and shoot--love them just the same~here is a little of the holiday palooza--excited for what is in store for 2012~

me and my sibs at my parent's house

one of my best gal pals was here over the holidays and i took picts of her little newborn--you can see them {here}
