today marks nora's first week of life! i must say that there is nothing quite like a little newborn in the house. They bring such a sweet spirit, and i have loved every minute. LIttle Nora sure lives up to her name, she is as sweet as they come. She is a very content and easy going little gal. She hardly ever cries, and is only waking up twice a night. I don't know how i got so lucky! She is starting to open her eyes more during the day, and she is just so much fun to squeeze! I have loved just being home with her, and snugging her all day long! Andrew has the next couple of weeks off, so we are just enjoying this time with our little family. Caleb and Z love their little sis, and have been very good with her. Z is teaching her about all the princesses, and Caleb wants to show everyone his little sister. I am feeling great, and all the c-section business is healing really well. So I guess lets rewind to how it all went down. Last thurs i was busy running around, and getting stuff together; and that evening my water breaks--since this happened with caleb i was pretty certain. I hadn't packed my bags yet, because i thought i still had a week. So i am running around the house...leaking... trying to gather all of my stuff, the babies things, and get caleb and zoee all set. Andrew and i got to the hospital and in the room by 9:30 pm or so. It was a whirlwind, and i was in the operating room at 10. I had amazing nurses and doctors that were so much fun. They started the c-section and we were all making guesses on her weight. Since i had appt just a few days ago that said she was 7lb 3 oz, i was guessing 7lb. 6 oz or so, and i was the one going high. So she comes out and weighs 7lbs, 15 oz!! 19 inches long. we were all surprised! She outweighed Z by a good 7 oz. Little N was 7lb 8oz once we left the hospital. She really is so tiny, but then has these filled out arms and legs:) i must say that i love her squishy{ness}! So she was born at 10:45 PM, and i was back in my room by 11:30. The next 24 hours were a bit rough. I was super nauseous and sick from the anesthesia. I couldn't keep anything down, and throwing up with a c-section incision is for the birds! They finally got the sickness under control, and i was able to squeeze my girl and visit with friends and fam. The nurses and everyone were great, but I was sure ready to be home on Sunday evening--the hospital beds are never very comfy.
It has only been a week, and I can't get enough of this little girly~ i just stare at her in amazement. Each child is such a gift--and even more so that they make it here safe and healthy--it is such a blessing! I am so glad that little miss Nora is here and part of our family. We could not love her more~ Here are some picts from the hospital and her first week at home........

Oh my goodness she is so precious! I too get so sick from all the anesthesia, and the shakes sooo bad! I literally cant control it for a good hour or so after child birth! I am so happy to hear that you are recovering well and that the fam is adjusting well!
