{the living room}

As most of you know we renovated an older home throughout the summer. I had a vision the first time we walked through the house,--and I knew it had some awesome potential: a big open floor plan, large windows, and hardwood floors underneath the orange carpet, :) After it is almost all said and done, I think it turned out even better than I had pictured. I have to admit that we didn't do much work ourselves--(I wish we were more handy!) But I have to give props to all the people who did! My brother in law Kenny has some mad carpentry skills, and did all the amazing molding, the white shelves, (which he suggested--and that I am in love with) and the fireplace--and his friend Jeremy did an amazing job on the wood floors- they turned out awesome! Plus our contractor, and everyone else.-kuddos! Anyways--I am really still trying to get everything decorated--(plus we are waiting on shutters, and all of those little annoying things)So I thought I would just post rooms one at a time--then it won't get too boring/overwhelming to look at. Here is the living room before and after. The picts are not too grand--lighting wasn't great--but you get the idea--Hopefully we can get everything done and have a fun get together soon :) The kitchen will be next.....
