I do love a good race-- and the OGden Marathon is one of my favs! I ran the 1/2 marathon. Yesterday had all the perfect elements: Amazing views, perfect weather, some good tunes, and my fam at the finish line. I felt amazing the whole time--the miles flew by, and I just enjoyed the gorgeous course! The stats:
My time was 1:34:50 (7:14 pace) new PR , I got 1ST PLace in my age group, and 7th Place in women overall. I was excited :) It is always exhilarating to accomplish what you set out to do. That is why I love running so much. In the end it really is just all you! I have to give a shout out to my Bro in Law
Bri!! Before this Half marathon he ran all but 3 miles and finished in 1:47--he only got a number a couple days before the race! and who was by his side--
MY DAD! They did amazing--and I am so glad they got to run it! My cousin
Kelli did her first marathon, and did great as well.
Now I am looking forward to start training for a 3:30 marathon, and pumped about the RAgNar Relay that I am running in June with my cousins and dad:)

Way to go shar! You really are such an amazing runner. I just remember all the times you would kick everyones but in boot camp when we were running. I am sure your next marathon you will be getting 3:30 or better!:)

Great Job Friend, you were burnin some rubber! I wish I would have done as well. You are totally awesome. I need some serious tips in 9 months..Yikes! And you look very hip as always in your running gear. thanks for letting me go up with you guys! And good job Brian, that is great!

Sharstin, I read your comments on Marci's page and it made me tear up. That was so sweet. I always read your blog and go through all your pictures. Your kids are so cute, and you do a wonderful job with the photography. I heard you took pictures of Marci's nephew, Jonah. Can't wait to see them. How come you look so good after running? Sharkskin, you are a rock star! I love that picture with you and your old man. I've been thinking about you guys a lot lately and I hope that you both know that you have been major inspirations to me. Not only with running, but in the way that you always make other people feel good about themselves. I am so happy that you got that first place because you have earned it.
I am sure I would have cried at the finish line for you if I were there. It is such an amazing accomplishment. Great job. You were born to be a runner. Way props to your dad as well. I am so glad he is doing so great.
