So-we got up at the crack of dawn today to hit the pavement for my second 20 miler. Probably my last before the Top of Utah marathon--unless by some miracle I do end up getting into St. George (I'm keeping my fingers crossed--I love that marathon!!) We did a run that was up above Pineview in the canyon--and it was absolutely gorgeous! The air was crisp, and it was perfect weather for running. I could definitely feel that Fall is on the way. I was thinking today as we were running-- that what is so much fun about training is that you get to meet with a group of friends, and just talk and have fun! The actual marathon is just the icing on the cake. The group I run with is so fun--and they make the miles fly by! With the speed training and tempo runs we have been doing--these 20 milers we have done have been easy, and I have felt awesome--which is always a good thing! I feel super ready for this marathon--and just excited to get out there and get it done :) But for now I think I need a nap, and maybe a scoop of ice cream later...and come to think of it, maybe a pedicure--these feet of mine are looking a little gnarly!!

Hey you are so awesome! I can't believe you can run that far. 6 weeks ago I started training for a 5K, and I'm almost done with that training. Right now I'm just running for time, not distance. I figure I can work on speed later. I still can't IMAGINE ever running a marathon! But I'm stoked b/c I got a new pair of Nike's today in Park City. Always makes running more "bouncy" and fun! Say hi to Andrew for me!
Hmmmm I have heard of the thing called runners high, but I have yet to experience that one. I haven't found a love for running. You go though that is awesome!!!
Shar, way to go Dude. You are the most motivated person I know. Hopefully one day I can be a fabulous runner like you. I hope you get into St. George, if not Logan will be great and you will get it done super fast!
It sounds like you are all ready to go! All though I am not surprised you are an amazing runner! Always being number one in boot camp!:) You will do awesome!:)
That runs sounds idealic. Are you going to be sporting the running skirt on your next marathon? I think Id have to tone up a bit first, but it does look cute.
Hey.. I have those Brooks shoes and the Pearl's kick them to the curb! The crisp fall running is superb, and a little brutal at 6 in the morning when all the sudden it's dark! Good job, way to end the summer with a bang!
You are awesome shar! You are going to kick some major trash in your marathon!
Yeah--I do love my Pearl's--but these are feeling better these days for some reason--the pearl's are a little heavy for a 20 miler.
You are an inspiration to us all! Way to go girl, I can't wait for the big day!
Wow way to go girl, thats amazing!
